A decent afternoon at the Wivenhoe Community Day, organised by the Town Council. It was a low key affair, but still busy.
The Weather Gods were kind with the mid-September scheduling. They owed the town after the washout of the midsummer Regatta.
Time was a little tight. We missed the dog show. The calmness on the KGV field suggested that XL Bullies weren’t being entered.
Mr Mule did his poetry thing with gags. We understood the punchlines, even if other folk were looking a little lost. The busk was bright and breezy.
I collared a local Councillor as we were leaving. It was all very friendly. I think I was played politically after asking about the lukewarm support for 20’s Plenty. It perhaps wasn’t the right occasion.
The Wiv Library of Things looks interesting.
