A spare Saturday lunchtime in-between work shifts and social butterfly commitments. Flitter, flatter. Time for some Sunny Stockwell photography.
I never tire of walking this patch with my f717 camera. I’ve been treading the SW8 and SW9 pavements with the exact same model for the past eighteen years. The camera itself may change - I could even be on #18 of the f717 - but the streets somehow remain the same.
Sorta.
And so heads down up Stockwell Road and past my very first flat in this patch. Keeping walking straight, Brixton bound and towards the Skate Park. Turn a blind eye to the f-off in your face monstrosity that is the SO BRX luxury apartments bollocks.
Swing left, back down Brixton Road, a brief wave at Brixton Cycles and then a cut through Slade Gardens. The park was busy, mainly with kids out enjoying the Transpontine sun. I kept a look out for my old pal GN. He was probably looking down on me from his tower up above.
The circle was complete with a walk through the Conservation Area and Stockwell Crescent. A flat was viewed here, back in the pre-f717 camera days. It was about as small as the box that the f717 comes in. The appeal was the outdoor pool. The monthly service charge led me to walk away.
And then finally destination reached: LIDL.
All Sunny Stockwell roads lead to Lidl, innit 👌
