A ten miler for Sunday morning.
I’ve always called this South Notts Wolds run a half marathon. I was always under the impression that it was a half marathon.
Close, but no cigar Jase.
It was STEAMING hot at 7am.
You don’t say.
If I had stayed in the family home then I would still have ended up as drenched as I was after running around for an hour and a half.
I actually enjoyed it.
The lanes were empty, except for the various cycling clubs out on the Sunday morning club run.
I tried to keep a steady pace; I tried not to have to make a call back to base saying HELP!
I needn’t have worried.
The time wasn’t important – 1 hour and 34 minutes. Strava tells me that this is two minutes faster from when I ran the route last October.
I always had it in my mind that this was a one hour 30 route back in the day, some 25 years ago.
I’m happy if I have still kept the pace.
A cold shower followed. And then a little work.
I watched the start of the Pakistan innings back at The Oval. South London looked GLORIOUS.
And then the rest of Sunday was spent on family duties at the 18th birthday party for a niece.
A few photos to share, but the rest remains private.
I headed back to the Estuary Wilds late afternoon via Norwich and a rather over heated carriage.
I don’t handle the heat very well. It is best to avoid me over the next few days.
Five hours later and I was back *over there*
Oh dear, etc.
The cats seem to have the same over heating issue as me.
