Another balm beard fail first thing on Friday morning.
Bollocks.
I was once again on the happy clappy 7:06 out of the Estuary Wilds, en route to a hit and run day in the SE17 school.
Post-local election texts were exchanged with Anna. She is half decent at reading post-election fall out. This led to a very public ARF moment outside Marks Tey.
Apologies, commuters.
Depeche Mode ruled the iPod. This was following on from a rather inspiring TOTP performance on BBC4 the night before.
I LOVE Shake the Disease.
I played it relentlessly back in the day. Some songs speak to you directly when you are a love struck teenager.
Oh dear.
I cycled down to the Walworth Road, once again crossing at Ldn Bridge. The critical mass of cyclists was bloody impressive around The Elephant.
I arrived in SE17 and walked straight into the Year 1 Toy Museum.
It was LOVELY.
It has been called a pop up in previous years [I think?]
Pop ups are *sooooo* yesterday, dahhhling.
Year 6 SATS preparation was next on the agenda.
It felt like the old 2006 DREAM TEAM was back in the classroom together once again.
I had a bit of a SE17 nostalgic moment…
And then some Year 2 yoga to end the day.
That felt… kinda OK, actually.
I managed to duck out of SE17 early and leg it over to the The Oval.
A late afternoon on the piss in the Peter May was planned.
My plans never disappoint.
I started on the HARD stuff of builder’s tea to get me going. I went through my ridiculous arthritis stretching routine on the sun terrace.
I don’t think that this was the purpose for which it was designed.
The ‘rrey had an optimistic run chase of 244 set by that other lot from north of the river.
Games against The ‘Sex often have an unhappy ending for Surrey.
This wasn’t the case for Friday evening. I spent a very pleasant three hours or so on the piss with the Peter May boys.
And then with the Transpontine skies starting to bruise, I had to ride the Brompton back over Ldn Bridge, back to LS and back to *over there.*
Oh bloody dear.
wtf is this back and forth life all about, Jase?
Flitting and flirting, innit.
Daisy and Dotty were waiting at the other end.
Ahh - so that’s what it’s all about.
As you were.
