A chilly South London start to the working week.
Like a FOOL I didn’t bring a coat to Sunny Stockwell when I arrived from the estuary wilds sun last week.
I arrived at Lake Brockwell a little undercooked, and left looking positively blue in the face.
I didn’t really warm up all day 🙁
But boy - what a bloody lovely swim.
I only had time for twelve lengths, but the 14 degrees water temperature meant that I didn’t hang about.
There was something of an Icicle jolly boys day trip out to Margate after the swim. Back in the day and I would have thrown a sickie. Not now however with my Responsible Jase hat being worn at all times.
And so a LOVELY school day in SE21 instead.
It seems that my pre-term plans to cut down on content and try and be more realistic with what I can cover has already failed. That’s just the way that I work.
I managed to visit fourteen classes throughout the school day, coming out with 2,700+ words.
Ouch.
As ever, too many highlights to condense. Cooking veggie burgers in KS4 was fun; at the other end of the spectrum and Reception basketball in PE put a big smile on my face.
The false fire alarm first thing was a little meh.
I was all set for a bicycle ride back over to Liverpool Street at 4pm.
And then something of a micro downpour hit Herne Hill.
My Brompton took a soaking.
Amazingly it was bone dry as I cycled through Brixton.
The train journey back to *over there* was rubbish.
A delayed train with reduced carriages.
I calmed down for the evening with some catching up with the kittens and Anna.
Daisy has grown considerably in the week that I have been away.
Anna hasn’t.
A bit of BOOZE watching the France Vs Holland match, and then bed.
Chin chin.
