A farewell to the mad cat for a week or so.
This doesn’t get any easier.
She has learnt to recognise that if I’m fixed up and looking sharp then I must be South London bound.
She doesn’t give a shit when I leave the house in my estuary wilds lycra crap.
The journey into LS was uneventful. I read through a CBC Cabinet report for next week with my eyes pretty much closed.
Zzzz.
A mad dash across town, and then I was in SE17 for a full on school day.
The end of the summer term is always BONKERS. I feel for the full time staff who somehow stay incredibly focussed at the end of a very demanding school year.
My first task was to interview the winning students in the London Knowledge Quiz. This is the second consecutive year that the SE17 school has triumphed - quite an achievement.
I wasn’t expecting the Indonesian puppet show that came next, but it was most pleasant, all the same.
And then I sneaked a preview of the Year 6 play. I often feel that it’s more of an effort than SATS week.
It left me GRINNING and looking forward to the first proper performance next week.
Some surprising school news came my way late in the day.
Blimey.
I didn’t see that one coming.
I had a brief catch up with the Journo Club students after school. I feel that I haven’t pulled my weight here.
Apologies.
LOVE Bob's Bikes. Yeah #SE17

I stopped off briefly on the bicycle ride back to base to see Bob - he of Bob’s Bikes, SE17.
Yer man is on the hunt for a new MTB for me.
In the meantime he tightened up my Brompton nut.
Jobs a good ‘un.
I had a work shift back in the flat. No one has been here since the weekend. We had no milk. I was bloody parched for a cup of tea.
A brief Lidl run, and then Thursday evening was spent editing school content and listening to the football.
Lovely lido in the morning 🙂
