With a big heads up to @HazelFunnyFarm, this just in from the Wivenhoe Funny Farm Comedy Club:

“Wivenhoe Funny Farm has had a last minute headliner change. We now have to give you the genius of Simon Munnery. Result!”

A result indeed. Anyone who was able to catch Mr Munnery at his recent Lakeside headline show will know what a skilled and incredibly funny performer he is. For such an established name on the comedy circuit to be coming to Wivenhoe, really is something of a coup.

Following a short break from Wivenhoe, the Funny Farm will be taking place at the Cricket Club on Thursday evening. The show starts at 8.30pm, with tickets at £6:50 on the door.

Also appearing on the bill this month are Ria Lina, David Traynier, Aaron Spalding and Chris Singleton. The good @HazelFunnyFarm is your host, in what must be something of a rather busy period, combining the @wivenhoepanto lead role as well.

Hazel is also an avid tweeter of all things cricket, which is rather appropriate seeing as though the Funny Farm is heading out along to the Rectory Road pavilion. With the first day of play in the third Ashes Test also starting later in the evening, expect some cricket based gags from your host.
