Jardine Delights
Here’s a heads up for you: Jardine Cafe and Bistro is holding an exhibition by artist Tuulia Staff from 29th November until the end of the year. There is a private viewing party on the evening of Monday 6th December from 7:30 pm onwards.

It’s private in the sense that it really would be rather rude to turn up unannounced. I’m sure that a polite email to the very decent Jo Coldwell should be able to secure a reservation.
Tuulia’s work is described as:
“A mixture of everyday observations, daydreams and imagination. Mixed media using a concoction of paint, acrylic, ink, house, enamel, water, colour, gouache, pen, pencil, chalk, pastel, glue.”
I especially like the glue bit.

Plus…
“There will be a drink on arrival, nibbles to nibble on and hopefully sparklers on the new Terrace! (planning / building /weather permitting.)”
As I’ve blogged before, I really hope that Jardine on the Belle Vue Road corner takes off. A lot of investment has been put into the project, with all the local planning issues now resolved.
In particular I think that the Monday evening events are rather ace. As well as giving artists a space to exhibit and discuss their work, there is also the monthly Cafe Politico sessions. Guest speakers lead the conversation, with the idea that the world is put to rights alongside some booze and nibbles.
The builders at the back of the Bistro have been struggling against the weather elements over the past week. Here’s hoping that those promised sparklers on the 8th December get to light up the evening.
